From ZooLabs to Vegas in 36 hrs…Electric Daisy Style

Received a late night email from Brad Dollar “We’re doing our first hackathon at ZooLabs, come through!”  When we arrived we were greeted by the organizer, a dynamic guy by the name of Travis Laurendine from CODEMKRS. So…I pulled out the ElectroSpit (as a good Co-founder does), ElectroSpit a few lines, and Travis was blown away! “You’ve gotta come pitch at the #EDMBIZ hackathon in Las Vegas for EDC!” Travis assured me I shouldn’t miss pitching to multiple VC’s and Techcrunch editor Josh Constantine. With 36hrs to go, we had to practice on the move.  We pitched our Uber driver, pitched on the plane, pitched our 7 year old Che’ in the hotel room, pitched in elevators and on escalators until bam…my co-founder and I find ourselves on stage at Caesars Palace pitching in a room of about 300 people.

It was amazing! It all happened so fast that it felt like an episode of Silicon Valley (without the fight on stage).  At the end of the pitch our email sign up list was flooded and we kept getting stopped for demos. One producer proclaimed that with ElectroSpit he planned to be the Roger Troutmann of EDM!  Needless to say they loved it 🙂
